A Memory

I stared at the mirror in front of me as I took in the reflection that stared back at me. It was me obviously, but for some strange reason there seemed to be something else, something else I couldn't quite pinpoint. My eyes shone under the light as I stared deep into the mirror. High cheek bones rose in the air, making my one sided dimple really visible. My ruby colored lips were in a wide grin and from the looks of it, it didn't seem like it would be going anywhere anytime soon.

A memory flashed in my head and suddenly, it totally made my sense. I could finally place a pin to my unnatural source of happiness right now; Lucien. Yes, Lucien.

I'd always thought he hated me. Hell, he hated everyone and anyone he could lay his eyes on, but after the other night, I wasn't quite sure my previous theory of him could stand the test of time. I let my eyes flutter shut as I recounted the events of the other night, a rush of adrenaline and tingles running down my skin.
