Queen Bree looked at her daughter from head to toes. She scrutinized Naya with her gaze. When did her daughter get a mate and she wasn't aware? How did it happen?

“You have a mate?” She asked to be sure. Maybe she had heard wrong, and through her question, Naya would clear things up and tell her it was slip of tongue or she didn't listen well.

Naya nodded. “Yes, mother. I have a mate now, so I can't take Prince Leonard with me.” She answered.

Queen Bree signed. “Naya, I am your mother and you know I want the best for you. We both know it's pretty hard for you to find your mate. You've been trying to find your mate for a while now, I can remember that. Because I asked you to marry the prince shouldn't get you scared to the extent of you lying to me about having a mate.” She replied.

“I'm telling the truth. This is something very serious and I would never joke with it. I saw my mate in the Academy.”
