Chapter 50

Hazel's POV

"Kaya what are you doing? Why are you still awake?"

His voice made little Kaya jerk in fright. It even made me feel scared. He came into the room and glared at all of us. He had changed into a t-shirt with a pair of jeans.

Lorena glared back at him but I could see the uneasiness in her breathing. Her lips were instantly chapped and dry and she licked them a little too often, just to keep them moist.

"I asked why you are awake Kaya? Answer me."

I could hear Kaya tremble but then, Lorena stood up and faced Ryder.

"It is a weekend and she has had her nap."

"I wasn't talking to you, you filthy Omega," he said, snarling at Lorena.

She took a deep breath and maintained her ground while Kaya curled up to me in fear. He looked over Lorena's shoulder to where Kaya and I were and pushed passed Lorena to grab Kaya. I rolled her out of the way just in time and Lorena blocked him again; her voice, firm and defiant.

"Kaya will be spending the weekend with me. You're too busy anyway to g
