Justin's POV

"Well, that was that. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you the choice I made, because it’s pretty obvious.” I let out a sigh.

“Yeah, I can guess it. You took the deal.” Xavier replied, “but does that deal entail you getting married to Jessica?”

“Yes, and I had no choice but to accept. I had rather get married to Jessica a thousand time, than to see Racheal die.”

I meant every bit of what I had just said. Racheal means that much to me. I love her, and I would never let any sort of harm come her way.

“But I don’t get it…” Xavier murmured, his hands on his cheeks.

“Get what?” I asked, curious.

“How is it that Racheal is a slave once more? I mean, she’s not one to take such a decision. And I can’t imagine her succumbing to your father’s threat, either.” He said, thoughtfully.

Thinking deeply about what he just said, I realized he is indeed right. If I had already made a deal with my father, for Racheal to live, I can’t see why Racheal would become a slave once more. Racheal
