Killian's POV

"I understand that you're mad at me for killing the guard but I can always offer you a soul in return," I said, feeling the pain all over my body as my wolf refused to heal me up.

"I don't want anyone else." He said, his voice shaking with emotion. I was brought aback by the emotional tone in his voice as I focused better on the words he'd speak further.

"Do you know who the guard is, to me?" He asked.

"I-I don't know...I mean, how am I to know?" I asked, trying to lock gazes with him with my swollen eyes.

"Are you asking me that damn question?!" He yelled angrily at me, sighing deeply while he ordered his warriors to push me to my knees.

I remained on my knees, bowing to him as he narrated who the guard was, to him, and the havoc I had caused by murdering him.

"What if I tell you that I suspected that you were going to do that?" He asked, his eyes blazing with fury.

"Since you know that, why didn't..." I asked but he shouted me down.
