Hades' POV

The time had come already. I had had several chances to slit his throat and end his life right there but I considering beating him to death as the best option. It was the best revenge ever - served cold.

"What'd you wanna do now?" He asked as I pinned him to the ground. I directed the knife towards his eyes as he shivered slightly, trying to maintain composure.

"If you tempt me..." I stuttered. Thinking he would endear me to go ahead, I waited for his response.

"I am not tempting you, Hades." He said and breathed heavily as I dropped the knife to the ground.

Brielle was standing at a close distance to us, shivering slightly as tears pricked around the corners of her eyes. She could no longer withstand him being tortured, and again, there was nothing she could do to it.

If she didn't escape from my pack to seek shelter from him, she wouldn't have met him in the first place. Why should she be emotional now?
