Dominic's POV

"We're so sorry. We didn't know..." The guards apologized as I sent them back to their spots. They had shone the light towards where we were.

"Is there anyone lurking around?" I asked one of them before they all left. He stared at Brielle, stared at the guard, then at Killian before staring back at me.

I was becoming pissed off by the attitude he gave but I remained quiet and didn't want to exercise aggression on him.

"No one lurking." He said but for some minutes, I assumed he was being forced to say that as though he was under duress by Brielle or the guard or Killian because it certainly wouldn't be me.

"I care about your safety. Tell me if anything is going on and you have no power to defeat such," I said and he nodded his head, bowed, and walked out.

I turned to face Killian and others and hardly had it been a minute he left then I began to hear blades swishing outside. I heard the groans of my warriors as I quickly hurried to check what was happening.
