Stranger

Brielle's POV

"Why are you waiting?" He asked, transfixed to a spot, "use the door. Didn't you want to?"

His eyes were radiating furiously and I wasn't sure what his plan was, for me. Once I sighted his wolf morphing, I would hurry out of the room but his voice was calm, yet threatening.

"You wouldn't leave unscathed when I get to you," he said and began to approach me. I quickly turned the doorknob but the door didn't budge. Was I so daft to be unable to open a door like this?

As he got closer, my heart beat faster and I became more aggressive at the door.

"Don't spoil what you didn't create!" He screamed at me, suddenly grabbing me by the jaw and pinning me to the wall. If there was a literal explanation of eyeball to eyeball, then it was now. I could look straight down his eyes as well as him. He chuckled softly when he noticed my persistent stares.

"I kept on but you stopped me. Even without my permission?" He asked, his tone laced with a mixture of calm and threat.

"I-I'm sorry," I apologized sincerely but I was being throttled, so my voice wasn't loud enough. It didn't have to be so loud as I thought, until he flung me to the opposite walls. I collided with my head on the walls before dropping to the ground, shivering and stuttering because of the mean look on his face as he approached again. It looked like a wolf about to turn a human unawares.

"Get out." He simply instructed but I couldn't move an inch because of the bruises sustained from dropping to the ground and colliding with my head on the concrete walls.

"Now." He said, "the maids should have given you more instructions. Do I have to repeat those words? They surely deserve to die but I'll spare them because of the asshole right here."

I chuckled at that. Even though I was called an asshole, I saved the maids from being harmed, even if slightly.

I mustered some courage when I remembered I didn't have anywhere to go if he sent me out of his room.

"I don't have a place to go, master." I pleaded, my voice shivering obviously.

He ran towards his wardrobe which seemed eerie to me. I squinted my eyes at the direction and I could see silver bullet being loaded in his pocket gun. I didn't even know he had a pocket gun. I grinned, almost screaming for help and survival, as I ran out of the room, slamming the door shut afterwards. I heaved a deep sigh of relief after walking a few minutes, away from his room. I didn't know anyone in the pack. I didn't bother relating with anyone. I didn't even know what they saw me as. I wouldn't be let my bones get ripped out by someone who wasn't Hades, since Hades didn't consider me a victim of being ripped out.

I could see an empty room a few metres away from me. I nodded my head to the idea of creeping inside and hiding there till there was some solution to my predicament. Immediately I got in, I bumped into a man which made me shut my eyes immediately. If I didn't, I might go blind because of the hard chest that would hit me so hard. I chuckled softly since I wasn't reprimanded.

I raised my head and walked further into the room. When the door creaked open, I diverted my gaze towards the direction. It was Hades.

I collided with my head on Hades' chest? And he didn't bother to reprimand me? It didn't sound cool to me. On a good day, he should, since he was who he was. I scooted my feet over to the direction he's headed and stood in his front. I knew I was placing my life on the line by doing so, but it was necessary to me.

He growled after a few seconds and I sprinted backwards, instinctively. He walked away and I rested on my back till he passed me by. He didn't even bother to say a word. What could I have done? Was this how I would live my life as his mate, forever? No one else would welcome me to his home if I left here. I had no option than to stay until I found a way out of this mess.

I suddenly felt a cold tap behind and when I jerked back to confirm the person's identity, it was a strange person.

"Hi. How may I help you?" I quickly stood, averting his gazes and avoiding his touch on my shoulders.

"I-I saw you lay on the floor. Thought some wolf bullied you," he said and requested for an handshake, "I'm the Wolf Training Team Leader. Would you like to..."

He didn't complete his statement when I declined the offer, "I didn't come here for such. I would prefer training myself than being trained."

When he shifted his gaze, I did, as well; and we both saw Hades again.

"Have you given them the medications?" Hades asked and he nodded in the affirmative. They both chuckled and shook hands while I kept glaring at Hades for a word to me as well.

"Hades..." I tried to call his name but he only continued his conversation with the stranger until I left without looking back. I was sure he was being intentional about pissing me off.

Wait. Did I just say pissing me off? How could a black-hearted man piss me off? He bought me! What if he decided to play some tricks on me and I was only falling for it?

I quickly scooted my feet back to where they were discussing as I slipped out my phone from my pocket, displaying some funny videos on the screen. The stranger chuckled as we both expected Hades to chuckle as well.

"I'll see you later," Hades waved at the stranger and left without looking back.
