From Alessia's POV

A silence fell over us after Daunte said he had killed Alpha Markus. I couldn't believe it. I knew I had heard his voice in my vision, which I was certain of.

I had so many questions. Some I thought I already had the answers to, others had risen in light of the events that had started to unfold.

After Daunte was given the OK to leave the hospital, Logan drove us back to the packhouse. We exited the car as soon as he parked, and I made a beeline for my bedroom. I needed time to think and process everything that Daunte had told us. But mainly, I needed time to get in contact with Briseis. I wanted to ask her about my vision. Maybe she could help clarify some things.

Upon entering the bedroom, I noticed the window was open, which was odd because I had never opened the window before. I cautiously approached the window and looked out. I saw a small note taped to the window. I opened the note, and a chill ran down my spine when I read the contents.
