Alpha Kayden's POV

I stormed back into my office, the anger boiling inside me like a raging fire. Julius was still inside, and was sitting in the corner, his eyes watching me carefully as I paced the room.

"Can you believe that she was eavesdropping on our conversation?" I growled, my voice thick with frustration. "The audacity..."

Julius shifted uncomfortably in his seat, his brow furrowed with concern. "We don't know for sure if she was listening," he reminded me gently. "There could have been a reason she was out of her room."

I stopped pacing and turned to face him, my hands clenched into fists at my sides. "Reason or not, it doesn't excuse her behavior," I snapped, my temper flaring. "She should have known better."
