Irina’s POV

Damien leads me to the dungeon. The guy who had announced Ivan’s death walked on the other side of Damien. They talk about the possibilities, suggesting who might have killed Ivan if he hadn’t killed himself. We all knew that Ivan had a ridiculous amount of enemies, including those in his own pack. The girl who had been raised as his sibling was his biggest living enemy. Yet, I still couldn’t imagine Rosy doing it, even after what Damien had told me about her.

The guy pushes the door open, the smell of blood and faeces hits me hard and Damien apologises, telling me the dungeon was not a priority to clean. I nod, holding a hand to my mouth, trying to prevent myself from vomiting and adding to the nauseating smell.

Why can't Gunner take over Alpha? He would be a better choice since he is the Beta. That way Irina can stay with Damien and Rosy can be Alpha to Ivan's pack.
