Irina’s POV

Staring into Gunnar’s eyes was weird. It wasn’t the same as looking into Damien’s or even Ivan’s, it felt like I was breaking him down in some way, invading his own thoughts in a way that he could not resist me. I tell him to bring Blood Pack to Black Crescent, including the people that had stayed behind in the mountains. It would be the last time I would use the mind control. It just didn’t sit right with me but at least I wouldn’t have to go all the way to the mountains, and I would get to stay with Damien.

“Are you sure this is what you want?” Damien looks out the window and watches Gunnar disappear into the forest.

That’s strange because no one other than Irina could touch and hold the dagger. Ivan would not be able to touch it.
