“I... I don't know" Emily stammered. "While we raced, she exceeded the pack's territory and I found her at the lake, She was already shivering when I got there."

The room buzzed with concern as the doctor worked diligently to stabilize Ivy's condition, meanwhile, the conversation between Grandfather and Emily shed some light on the circumstances surrounding Ivy's state. The mention of the lake and Ivy being found shivering raised further questions and concerns.

Luna Mira's maternal instincts kicked in as she worriedly asked, "Lake? Why didn't you say that, she must have been dying of cold."

Emily, her voice tinged with regret, admitted, "I thought it might not be needed, I guess I was wrong after all."

The realization that Ivy might have been exposed to extreme cold at the lake added a new dimension of worry to that which was already present.

"Let's not get all worked up; she is going to be fine," Alpha Dave reassured them. "Besides, it's late already. Beta Zoe, you should take Emily
