Comforted.

Isabella's POV

The car engine switched off as we were in front of the pack house. I didn't even notice that we had reached our destination until I had almost fallen when Sierra opened the door on my side -one which I was leaning on.

My quick reflexes were my saving grace, ensuring that I restored my balance before stepping out of the car. Sierra bore an empathetic look on her face as I looked up. I ignored her and moved towards the living room, crashing on the nearest couch as I did so.

Perhaps I should have listened to Sierra. Despite my efforts at gaining normalcy, the toll on my mind mixed with the events of the day had sucked me dry. Listlessness was all I could feel. I felt pressure on the side of the couch before a warm hand touched my shoulder. I sighed, knowing it was Sierra

"I have to go very soon."

Her statement made me open my eyes to look at her.

"I'm so sorry I can't stay with you. I have the evening shift tonight." Sierra said, guilt on her features.
