On Monday morning, I arrived in my office and found Damian standing there. His face was as white as a sheet, slight wrinkles lines which weren't there before apparent.

"Sierra told you," I said simply.

He nodded, chuckling uneasily whilst shaking his head. "I promise to find those that did this. But first, I'd like to apologize."

I shook my head and took a step back, but he continued.

"You may not like it, but this is my pack. I didn't know their animosity for rogues could go this deep, be this harmful. It is partly my fault. I had been trying to get the relationship between the pack better, remove the animosity and slowly integrate them. I thought you being here will help with that. Help them get used to the idea that rogues aren't bad. But instead you were put in the line of fire. I'm sorry." He ended, shoulders slumped.

I put my hand on his shoulder for comfort. Despite my emotions, I knew that he was far from responsible. I told him exactly that.
