Chapter 26

Alicia's POV

Ramirez hurriedly got dressed and left. Once he was gone, I felt lost, unsure of what to do.

I sat on the bed feeling like everything was going wrong, watching everyone else in a rush. Then, a thought struck me. I went to the mirror and fixed my hair, which was still messy from last night. I got dressed and tied up my hair quickly.

I rushed out of the room, thinking only of returning to my old kingdom, which wasn't in ruins anymore. Everyone there, including my stepmother and her son, had been killed.

As I was about to leave the palace, someone spoke up, "Where are you going without the guards?" I turned and saw Ramirez. I had intended to go on my own because I knew he might not want me to return there.

I've been thinking a lot about whether my stepmother really died that day. But I'm quite certain that Alpha Alex stabbed her and she bled from her stomach before she died. However, now that no one can explain the reason for all the killings, it's really concerning.
