LISA’S POV

As the dawn of a new day broke, I found myself greeted by the morning sun, its rays shyly peeking through the window, bathing Asher’s room in a gentle, soft light. I blinked, casting away the remnants of sleep, my senses gradually adjusting to the unfamiliar yet comforting surroundings once again.

The room was imbued with a sense of peace, a feeling like home. The scent of fresh pine wafted in from the open window, intertwining with the faint aroma of breakfast, serving as a subtle reminder of the world that lay beyond these walls.

Back in my village, I was certain that many people would be working on their farms by now. My brothers, Max and Jax, could have me sit under the shade while they did most of the work themselves.
