69: The Return Of The Bloodied

LISA’S POV

Time crawled by, but there was no sign of Asher and his warriors. At first, Silas was all about rules, just as Asher had said. However, I kept nudging him, and soon, he relented.

Today, he even allowed me to tag along on the Pack’s patrol. The women stopped and stared at me as we walked by, but none of them said anything to me. Silas told me to ignore their gaze and follow him.

I did so, knowing full well that if I disobeyed, he would never let me out again. From the corner of my eye, I noticed the archery range and said to Silas, “With your permission, I would like to try archery again.”

He glanced at the range and then back at me, unable to refuse. It was the perfect distraction to keep my mind off Alpha Asher as I continued to chase after him, the wind tousling my hair. At the archery range, I tried earnestly to hit the target.
