Chance’s POV Maps were scattered on the meeting room table as I continued to cross out areas that the search parties had been calling in that were clear of sight of the rogues. Only one sighting of a possible old camp had we found in the last couple of days since Willow disappeared into thin air without a trace. I knew in my heart that the rogue Alpha had her and I just prayed that she was still alive. I had gathered search parties from every local pack hoping that with more manpower we would be able to cover more ground and I could bring my Luna back home to me. Guilt plagued me knowing that I could have stopped all of this from happening if I had just spent the day with her as I had promised her. But I had put my role of Alpha above her wellbeing and didn’t return with Alpha Hunter until early morning hours the next day to find her missing. Beta Shawn had been out on patrol all night long that night with very little sleep and he too was blaming himself for not keeping the pack
Willow’s POV I was a prisoner in my own body, as I could hear everything going on around me as I came in and out of consciousness, but I couldn’t move or open my eyes. I began to wonder if this was what it was like being in a coma as my body fought off the dark magic trying to take over me. When I heard the familiar witch doctor’s voice, I felt a bit relief knowing he was here and that he would be the one helping me through this. Marvin had been my doctor since birth and was the best witch doctor I knew. If anyone was going to help me pull through this, it was going to be him. But once he began to chant, I could feel the dark magic inside of me stir as it desperately tried to latch onto my insides, but what scared me the most was hearing Damon struggle to breathe. I wanted Marvin to stop so that he didn’t hurt Damon and as I wished it, he did. That is when Marvin put it all together and knew that Damon was the one that had infected me with the dark magic and I felt bad for the w
Willow’s POV “Beta Shawn is your mate? Wait, you are his Jess?” I asked her, now shocked that she was still alive and how it was possible that I too was his mate, which I was not going to expose to her. “He spoke of me to you?” Jessica asks with hope in her eyes. “Yes, he hasn’t given up hope that you are alive.” I tell her and I can see tears begin to form in her eyes and that’s when it hits me that he said she had disappeared during a rogue attack and they never found her body. “Jessica, did they take you from Red Moon?” I asked her, needing to know the answer and hoping it wasn’t true. Jessica then became choked up and she shook her head yes and said, “Beta Derrick took me for his own, that night we were attacked. He forced me to reject Beta Shawn or else he promised to kill him. I did what I had to do to save my love.” This was so wrong on so many levels and it made me wonder now if all the she wolves of this pack were taken and made to be mates to the men of this pack
Willow’s POV As soon as the words slip from my lips, Damon freezes, buying Marvin the time he needed to get over the town line. My eyes remain glued to the back of Damon’s head as I waited for him to turn to me. I knew he was at war with the demon inside of him as his body began to shake and I knew I needed to do something to help him fight it. Unbuckling my seatbelt, I reached across the distance between us, and I wrapped my arms around his back holding him. As soon as my touch hit him, he stiffened but quickly relaxed into my embrace. His head leaned back against my chest as he let me hold him in my arms. “I want to deserve you love.” Damon whispers to me and my heart begins to ache for him, knowing that he wants to be good and is trying to fight it, but keeps losing himself to the hold she has on him. “Listen to me Damon. You do deserve it and we will get through this together. I won’t abandon you.” I tell him, hoping that he understands I am here for him because I want to
Willow’s POV A few days have passed and slowly I am beginning to regain my strength. Damon has been so considerate of me and I feel like this whole messed up situation has brought us closer to one another. Over the last couple of days, I have been meeting with Jessica and we have been making a list of what is needed to start the children’s schooling. Today Damon finally agreed to let one of his men take Jessica and I into the town to go shopping for the supplies needed and this was my chance to help Jessica escape and go back to Beta Shawn. I was the Luna of this rogue pack but I was not okay with the men taking she wolves from their true mates and forcing them to stay here against their will. Jessica and Beta Shawn deserved their happiness and I was going to make sure that they got it. Thankfully my magic had returned at full force and I was going to have to use it if I was to help Jessica escape. I needed to make them think that we were attacked by another group of rogues so tha
Willow’s POV Screaming at the top of my lungs I ran from the back door of the store towards my bodyguard that was now running towards me and I threw myself into his arms as I cried out, “They took Jessica!” All while I acted hysterical for the dramatics. “Where?” He asked as he looked around and I pulled from him and pointed towards the backdoor. “Luna, stay here.” He now said as he ran towards the door. The bodyguard exited the back door and I stood there waiting for him to return as I tried to keep my best acting face on. A few minutes later he returned and I put the tears on and said, “I want Damon.” “I called him and he is on his way. Let’s get you to the vehicle so I can keep you safe until he gets here.” The bodyguard said as he ushered me to the SUV. Once in the SUV, he locked the doors and stayed on high alert while I continued to cry and say, “They took her.” Trying to keep the dramatics going. Finally, there was a knock on the door, and I looked to see Damon outs
Chance’s POV It has been days now that we have been searching to the north of the cabin that Alpha Hunter knew about and we have found nothing. I am beginning to wonder if this rogue pack is more than just a pack of rogues and that this Moon Witch is protecting their whereabouts. If this is the case I am afraid that we are never going to be able to find Willow and bring her home. Alpha Hunter had a group of people arriving today to bring another level of help to the plate. He claims that the man named Christopher was a wolf hunter in his past and is of Demon blood and his mate has strong witch blood in her and that she is Luna Rayne’s mother. He thinks if anyone can track down the rogue pack it would be him. I have my reservations about bringing demons in on this but at this point I am willing to try anything to bring my mate back home to me. As we were waiting for their arrival, I decided to get some of my pack’s paperwork done that I had been neglecting due to everything that
Shawn’s POV Alpha Chance had messaged me to meet him at the packhouse and I prayed that he had news of Willow’s whereabouts. I have not been able to sleep since she has been missing and I couldn’t go through all of this again. It was bad enough to lose one mate to the rogues but to lose two was too much for me to handle. I felt like I had let Willow down not being there for her when she needed me the most, just like I had done with Jess. I had made a vow to myself that after we found Willow, I was going to mark her as mine too and I didn’t care what the pack had to say about it. Standing on the front steps of the packhouse I watched as the Alpha’s SUV approached the house and I waited in anticipation of what news he brought with him. As the SUV got closer I could see a woman in the front seat with dark hair and I got excited knowing it had to be Willow. Alpha Chance had brought our mate back to us just like he said he would. Racing down the steps to the SUV that came to a stop I
