Willow’s POV As soon as the words slip from my lips, Damon freezes, buying Marvin the time he needed to get over the town line. My eyes remain glued to the back of Damon’s head as I waited for him to turn to me. I knew he was at war with the demon inside of him as his body began to shake and I knew I needed to do something to help him fight it. Unbuckling my seatbelt, I reached across the distance between us, and I wrapped my arms around his back holding him. As soon as my touch hit him, he stiffened but quickly relaxed into my embrace. His head leaned back against my chest as he let me hold him in my arms. “I want to deserve you love.” Damon whispers to me and my heart begins to ache for him, knowing that he wants to be good and is trying to fight it, but keeps losing himself to the hold she has on him. “Listen to me Damon. You do deserve it and we will get through this together. I won’t abandon you.” I tell him, hoping that he understands I am here for him because I want to
Willow’s POV A few days have passed and slowly I am beginning to regain my strength. Damon has been so considerate of me and I feel like this whole messed up situation has brought us closer to one another. Over the last couple of days, I have been meeting with Jessica and we have been making a list of what is needed to start the children’s schooling. Today Damon finally agreed to let one of his men take Jessica and I into the town to go shopping for the supplies needed and this was my chance to help Jessica escape and go back to Beta Shawn. I was the Luna of this rogue pack but I was not okay with the men taking she wolves from their true mates and forcing them to stay here against their will. Jessica and Beta Shawn deserved their happiness and I was going to make sure that they got it. Thankfully my magic had returned at full force and I was going to have to use it if I was to help Jessica escape. I needed to make them think that we were attacked by another group of rogues so tha
Willow’s POV Screaming at the top of my lungs I ran from the back door of the store towards my bodyguard that was now running towards me and I threw myself into his arms as I cried out, “They took Jessica!” All while I acted hysterical for the dramatics. “Where?” He asked as he looked around and I pulled from him and pointed towards the backdoor. “Luna, stay here.” He now said as he ran towards the door. The bodyguard exited the back door and I stood there waiting for him to return as I tried to keep my best acting face on. A few minutes later he returned and I put the tears on and said, “I want Damon.” “I called him and he is on his way. Let’s get you to the vehicle so I can keep you safe until he gets here.” The bodyguard said as he ushered me to the SUV. Once in the SUV, he locked the doors and stayed on high alert while I continued to cry and say, “They took her.” Trying to keep the dramatics going. Finally, there was a knock on the door, and I looked to see Damon outs
Chance’s POV It has been days now that we have been searching to the north of the cabin that Alpha Hunter knew about and we have found nothing. I am beginning to wonder if this rogue pack is more than just a pack of rogues and that this Moon Witch is protecting their whereabouts. If this is the case I am afraid that we are never going to be able to find Willow and bring her home. Alpha Hunter had a group of people arriving today to bring another level of help to the plate. He claims that the man named Christopher was a wolf hunter in his past and is of Demon blood and his mate has strong witch blood in her and that she is Luna Rayne’s mother. He thinks if anyone can track down the rogue pack it would be him. I have my reservations about bringing demons in on this but at this point I am willing to try anything to bring my mate back home to me. As we were waiting for their arrival, I decided to get some of my pack’s paperwork done that I had been neglecting due to everything that
Shawn’s POV Alpha Chance had messaged me to meet him at the packhouse and I prayed that he had news of Willow’s whereabouts. I have not been able to sleep since she has been missing and I couldn’t go through all of this again. It was bad enough to lose one mate to the rogues but to lose two was too much for me to handle. I felt like I had let Willow down not being there for her when she needed me the most, just like I had done with Jess. I had made a vow to myself that after we found Willow, I was going to mark her as mine too and I didn’t care what the pack had to say about it. Standing on the front steps of the packhouse I watched as the Alpha’s SUV approached the house and I waited in anticipation of what news he brought with him. As the SUV got closer I could see a woman in the front seat with dark hair and I got excited knowing it had to be Willow. Alpha Chance had brought our mate back to us just like he said he would. Racing down the steps to the SUV that came to a stop I
Willow’s POV Night had fallen upon us and the men were returning thankfully empty handed and I had to keep my act up that I was in distressed that Jessica was taken. Damon had his arm wrapped around me as Derrick returned to camp and walked towards us as I made my eyes water like I was still crying. “Anything?” Damon asked Derrick as he stopped in front of us and Derrick’s eyes were on me and not Damon’s. “Nothing. Not a damn trace of her anywhere.” Derrick said still eyeing me and I was beginning to feel uncomfortable from his gaze. “There has to be something. I will go with you first thing in the morning to look.” Damon tells Derrick as Damon squeezes me to comfort me. Derrick’s eyes still remained on me and Damon finally noticed his gaze on me and asked Derrick. “Why are you looking at your Luna like that?” Derrick began to chuckle before he says, “It’s funny that this all happened because you allowed them to go shopping which was Luna’s idea.” Damon’s arm moved from
Willow’s POV It wasn’t quite morning when we were awoken by one of Damon’s patrol men. Damon was needed and he told me to stay in bed and he was going to be right back. I rolled over and stayed in bed like he asked but after a few minutes of him being gone, I began to hear noises from outside of my tent that didn’t seem normal for this time in the morning. Quickly, I got up and began to throw clothes on when the tent door threw open to see the she wolf that had helped take care of me. “We have been found, we need to move now, Luna.” Ashley said as she grabbed ahold of my hand and began to pull me out of the tent and towards the woods to the north. Looking over my shoulder, I could see the chaos of everyone trying to gather a few things and follow in our direction. One of the mothers with three children was struggling and I moved to help her by picking up the second to the youngest child in my arms to carry her. As we move deeper into the mountainside, I notice that it is just
Willow’s POV My eyes flutter open and the moon seeps through the windows into the room and I know from the little bit I can see I am in Alpha Chance’s bedroom. Slowly, I begin to try and sit up on my own and I find myself a bit weak. Whatever the man in the red cloak had done to me, I was slightly feeling the aftereffects. “How are you feeling?” I heard Alpha Chance ask but couldn’t see where he was in the room until he stepped forward into the moon light so I could see his face. Something about seeing him tore at my heart. I never thought once I left here, I would ever see him again. “What did the man in the red cloak do to me?” I asked him, wanting to know why I felt slightly weak but also a bit different, like something was missing from within me. “He freed you from the dark magic that had a hold on your soul.” Alpha Chance tells me and I feel relieved that the dark magic was no longer a part of me. Then my thoughts went to Damon and I wondered if he got away but I didn’t w
