Chapter 55

Willow’s POV

My eyes flutter open and the moon seeps through the windows into the room and I know from the little bit I can see I am in Alpha Chance’s bedroom. Slowly, I begin to try and sit up on my own and I find myself a bit weak. Whatever the man in the red cloak had done to me, I was slightly feeling the aftereffects.

“How are you feeling?” I heard Alpha Chance ask but couldn’t see where he was in the room until he stepped forward into the moon light so I could see his face. Something about seeing him tore at my heart. I never thought once I left here, I would ever see him again.

“What did the man in the red cloak do to me?” I asked him, wanting to know why I felt slightly weak but also a bit different, like something was missing from within me.

“He freed you from the dark magic that had a hold on your soul.” Alpha Chance tells me and I feel relieved that the dark magic was no longer a part of me. Then my thoughts went to Damon and I wondered if he got away but I didn’t w
