Chapter 1: The devil you know by the name- Octavio Adolph

An alpha male is known as alpha not because he has a fucking luna standing by his side but because he has dominion emitting through his presence that could challenge your being.

The ceremony was relished at its zenith when the two small packs from Arvada were deemed to join each other. The son and the lunar pack’s alpha and the daughter of the Moon pack’s alpha were mates.

“Leia, are you ready?” The mother asked, looking at her beautiful daughter, who turned eighteen this month and was blessed with a mate like Thorn.

With a quick glance at herself, Leia giggled through her eyes, ready to read the vows with her one true love, Thorn. The happiness she felt glossed her eyes. “I am ready, Mumma.”

“Thorn must be the lucky man,” Leia’s sister, Noir added.

“Indeed, he got the best girl in the pack.” Mother couldn’t stop her tears of joy watching her elder daughter in a white gown ready to enter her married life.

Leia held her dad’s hand as they walked, watching the man waiting for her at the altar. Thorn looked so dashing in those black tuxes. She couldn’t appreciate it more when she heard a low growl calling her name in mind link. Thorn hooded eyes scanning her frame like a hungry wolf ready for the hunt. He extended his hand the sparks shot between their eyes.

“I am going to eat you today,” Thorn whispered, soothing her stand in front of him.

Her cheeks turned crimson, and she bit her lips, teasing him with a view through the sheer veil, revealing her beauty.

Both the pack people stood in respect when the priest recited the vows.

“Do you Thorn Thunder take Leia Axel as your mate?”

“I do.” Thorn’s lips twirled up without missing a second.

“Do you, Leia Axel, accept Thorn Thunder as your mate?”

She lifted her gaze, only to get locked by Thorn’s peer. “I do.”

It filled the room with claps and cheerful voices. Thorn raised the sheer veil of his beautiful bride, cupping her face, taking her beauty in.

“Mine,” he whispered, leaning closer to lock their marriage’s seal.

He locked her lips into his and devoured the essence to subside the urge of his howling wolf pounding in his head, eagerly waiting to claim her.

His warmth encapsulated her petite frame, showing her how lucky she felt to spend her entire life like this. Every morning beside him would be heaven, and his protective arms would wrap around her belly when they had small pups of their own.

The dream she was getting in that passionate kiss was interrupted when she felt his lips go cold, and that minty breath tasted metallic. Those protective arms dropped from her frame, and a sudden weight burdened her. The wetness she felt on her cheeks trickled down her neck.

She smiled inwardly, thinking if he was playing another trick, she was ready to play along. But her closed eyes shot open when the cheerful voice turned into screams and crying. Her eyes were red when Thron’s face was covered in crimson liquid trailing down his face. She pulled her neck to take the sight, only to find he was being shot in his head, and the metallic taste she tasted on her buds was his blood.

Her hand trembled, and the dainty frame couldn’t handle the poundage of the dead man dribbling over her.

Her dreaded peer looked over the room where her pack was running, begging for their life. The next thing she heard was a bullet shot so close to her frame that before she could calculate, the priest fell to the ground, making her jump in her place.

Her silent sobs watch people dying when those unknown goons kill everyone in the room. “Leia,” someone called.

Her eyes followed the voice, only to see that her mother wanted her to escape the stage. But before she could process the thought, someone pulled her back and pushed Thorn’s body away like trash.

She looked up to find a pair of raven-black eyes darkening his gaze down at her. Her instinct to play defensive surfaced, and she unsuccessfully tried to land a knuckle punch on this man, only to know she was diminutive in front of him. He grabbed her best-learned trick in his fingers, merely putting an effort to stop her.

A series of laughter echoed with the small game they played.

“You are not made for this, princess.” He widened his cornea, and she could see her mirage in those whole black eyes, how scared she looked.

A screech pulls her focus back to the place where her family kneeling next to the stage, waiting for execution. Her trembling hand joined in front of the man standing next to her.

“Please, don’t kill them.”

“Who are you? What do you want from us?”

He cupped her jaw as delicately as he could not make a scratch. “It’s not in my hand, princess. It’s him.”

He pointed towards the door. Every eye cocked to see the demeanor which sent death before he came. His presence was enough to send a shiver down every male wolf. He was a living legend and the alpha of Lycans.

For centuries, hundreds of wars are ragged between wolves and Lycans, and wolves fought back against Lycans and became the dominant ones, but Lycans were always known as the powerful ones.

And now, the time has come for Lycans to claim the throne of the dominant species among them. The only thing they needed from them was she-wolves. Their virgin womb could carry the Lycans seed. They used to capture she-wolves and make them their breeder. The strange thing is they prefer virgin wolves who could incubate their potent seed inside them. And those who other wolves already took, they captured for pleasure.

The man in his well-creased suit entered the room filled with blood and bodies. The storm-brewing eyes were enough to let those people know to bow in front of him. His herculean build was enough to warn other wolves to stay out of his way. He was walking sex on those muscular legs, hiding behind those branded clad. Leia, for a moment, was mesmerized watching this handsome man closing the gap, but when his pointy-natural lush lips twirled up, she could imagine it was merely a devil in disguise.

Don’t get fooled by those handsome looks. The devil was once an angel.

“Have mercy,” the daughter’s father, the alpha of the moon pack, begged.

He looked intensely at Leia and her sister, like nothing else mattered. “Daddy, who is he?” Leia questioned.

“We are your new home. And that man is our alpha, Octavio Adolph.” The man next to Leia answered in a low voice, not wanting to disturb his alpha’s aura, claiming that he was eating her father alive.

Alpha? Is he a rogue?

“Daddy, why can’t you fight him?” She whispered.

“He can’t... did I forget to mention he is the Lycan Alpha, not a regular wolf like your father?”

A zap of shock went down her spirit. They did not inform her about the Lycans. All these years, they were told Lycans were a myth, but now she could see a living example in front of her eyes.

Leia looked at her father for this disgusting approval, to which he agreed, looking down.

“Are you a virgin, princess?” That was a shameful question to ask, but Asher never cared about anything. Leia gave him a disgusted look.

“We had a deal.” Octavio looked down at the man with his head over his shoes.

“Please, Alpha Octavio, don’t kill my family. I will give every she-wolf we have.” Leia hated when her father licked Octavio’s shoes for mercy. What if he was here to take virgins?

“I expected more from you. Now I have to take your precious virgin daughter, alpha.” he whispered, but the old man indulged, begging for his family’s life.

He grabbed his neck and lifted him above the ground. “Don’t,” Leia screamed and ran to kneel in front of him.

“Please don’t kill my father.” “I am not a virgin.” Leia spilled the beans, which she didn’t know would become a lifetime punishment.

Asher sprinted towards her and pulled her hair, meeting his gaze.

“When?” Tears rolled down her eyes, “Yesterday.” she murmured.

Asher’s eyes met Octavio’s. “You made a mistake, princess. You saved your dad’s life just to sacrifice the next moment.” She begged.

Octavio was choking his windpipe with his bare hands, sucking the life out of his lungs.

“Why are you doing this? What do you want?”

Asher leaned closer to her. “We want you and every woman in this room, princess.” She swallowed hard, but she would not miss the chance if this was the only way to stop him.

“I will do whatever you say.” Octavio didn’t budge, and her father’s eyes rolled out with redness.

“Please, don’t...” she cried. Octavio dropped him, and he thudded against the floor, only to be assembled by his luna. Octavio's devilish smile spread, and he looked at this poor girl crying for mercy.

“Are you sure?” She nodded with teary eyes.

He leaned closer, looking deeply into her eyes, locking her gaze into his. His hypnotizing gaze captured her wolf's soul and compel her mind.

“Kill… your…. father...” He whispered. She swallowed hard. Even if she tried to resist, her body was following his instruction. She picked up a knife.

“Why am I following your instructions?” Octavio saw her weak mind was following his words. Asher rolled his eyes, watching Octavio showing off his Lycan alpha skill.

“Please, stop. Please…” Leia begged, but captured her dad’s head.

“Daddy… Why am I not able to resist?”

“I am sorry, daddy.” She hissed, slicing her dad’s throat. The blood oozed out and splashed over her white bridal dress. She looked at Octavio, questioning how this was even possible. She held the same knife, ran to stab him but was captured by Octavio.

“You killed my father… you are a monster.” Octavio smiled.

“I enhanced your wolf urges, princess. I can compel your wolf to follow only the things you had in your mind.” He husked, and she dropped her knife in guilt.

Yes, she wanted to get rid of her dad because he was strict with her, but that doesn’t give the permission to kill him. She dropped to the ground.

“Take whatever belongs to us.” And there, the chaos stirred up when they picked up every woman to bring back to their place.

Leia screamed as she wanted to see her father for the last time, but Asher scooped her dainty frame over his spartan’s shoulder and walked in the opposite direction.

Octavio and Asher came out. “Showing off.” Asher jeered.

“I would say, using the skill to accomplish what I want.” Octavio smirked. His gamma followed him. “Alpha, the news is confirmed.”

“About?” Asher questioned.

“About the wolves in Denver countryside.”

“That university?”

“Yes,” Asher was still unsure how Octavio would stay in the university, knowing the board of directors didn’t like him and neither wanted him to join that job.

“As professor?” Octavio’s lips twirled up, and he headed towards the car.

“And the board of directors?”

“The wolves are dead, and humans were threatened,” Octavio answered.

“What about the pack?”

“You will handle everything.”

“Make sure to punish that princess who couldn’t stop herself... give her the worst night,” Octavio smirked, pumping the lustful thoughts into Asher’s mind.

“I thought you would taste her first.” Asher stuffed his hand into his pocket.

“I don’t taste. I fuck. I fuck hard to make them scream and remind them they are just a fucking incubator for this Lycan kingdom.”

Octavio signaled his man to prepare for his departure for the university to find more virgin wolves.
