Chapter 56: The dream

The morning knocked through the sheer curtain and landed on his face. It was beautiful indeed. The peace was floating in the air, and he smiled, looking close to the dainty frame sleeping next to him.

He carefully caressed her cheeks with his knuckles and smiled, thinking just a hint of alcohol brought the child out of her.
