Chapter One Hundred and Seventy Two

Elena could read the surprise on the counsellor’s face after she had asked for the rest of the week off. She had missed school for days before she even hadn’t asked for permission. Asking for permission was so not part of what Elena did, well, usually.

Elena rolled her eyes seeing Sarah leaning on the wall as soon as she stepped out of the counsellor’s office.

“Seeing the way you look like and the way Gaby flared up when something merely stepped on her in class, I want to believe that Craig broke up with you and Gaby had something to do with it,” Sarah said with a snarl and Elena rolled her eyes.

“Is this something you put on your to-do list? Every day?” Elena asked with a blank face before shaking her head.

“I am warning you, Sarah, you stay away from me” Elena added attempting to walk away but Sarah was quick to block her path.

“Not so fast Elena” Sarah replied.

“Craig broke up with you, right? He had something with Gaby right? They always looked so weird though so it’s no surprise”
