All employees were summoned to the main hall thirty minutes after his arrival for formal introductions.

With the hall as silent as a graveyard, Ricardo began walking to the podium, his shoes echoing around the hall and every step he took feeling like a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment.

All of the employees were tense, with some holding their breath.

Ricardo finally came to a halt in the middle of the podium. He looked around the hall with his glassy blue eyes full of daggers, making people shiver in their seats, until his gaze fell on Lisa.

Lisa shivered as his cold eyes fell on her, but her stubborn side quickly took over, blocking out the coldness in his eyes.

Lisa returned his gaze, maintaining eye contact until he averted his gaze and began speaking.
