Chapter Eighty Nine ~ Sanderson and Anderson

“Do you have a moment?” Kate’s soft voice makes me turn around and I find her facing anywhere else but me. “Theo had to take care of something and I’m stuck.” She explains but the confused look on my face must give it away because she goes on to add. “Can I get a ride back?” she asks and the question hits me like a blow.

In as much as I understood what she was going through, Kate was nothing but mean to me and her outburst during the wedding was the main contributing factor to the reason my license was taken away from me. I want to make it all go away, I do but the hurt in my heart suddenly returns as if someone has pressed a button.
