Chapter Eighty Two ~ Are we?

The hand that was on my neck suddenly disappeared. And it takes a while for me to realize the man is being peeled off me and thrown across the ground with a hard thud.

I hear the groanings and painful screams the man lets out and as I stumble to stand back up, I find Theo hitting his face with so much force my eyes widen with fear. The groanings have stopped which means the man has either passed out or worse-

He’s dead!

My head is spinning and my vision is still mushy but I find the strength to run and hold Theo. “Please stop. You’ll kill him.” I cry but he doesn’t hear me.

My panic increases which makes me dizzy and I move a few steps backwards when I’m about to fall but strong arms hold me. “I’ve got you.” He whispers as he lifts me into his arms.

Shortly, he places me in the car when I black out.

“What time will she wake up? It’s been two days!” I hear a voice. A voice that I know. Theo’s voice.

My eyes slowly flutter open but close immediately because
