Chapter 53. Distracted dinner

"Mike, who's calling?" Nathan asked, looking at Mike like he was in a daze.

"Sonya," Mike replied. "I'm sure she'll ask about the card you blocked. What should I say?"

"Just say you don't know. It's that easy," Nathan said casually.

"Yeah, you can say that, but don't you know what that witch is like?" grumbled Mike, "She's going to chase me until she gets what she wants."

"Whatever you say, lawyers are used to deceiving people with words. Can't you deal with her?" Nathan warned again, "Because if you avoid her, she will continue to pursue you."

"If it's just a conversation, it's not a problem, but if she's stalking me so she can meet you, what will happen?" Mike thought for a long time; however, he knew what she would do.

"Well, you pick it up first. We'll discuss the rest later," Nathan said. Mike sighed. He was just about to pick up the call, but it was already stopped. Mike breathed a sigh of relief. But the call from Sonya came back just as he was about to put his phone away.
