Chapter 42 Susan's Invitation

Lewis's phone rang; it was his family urging him. He didn't take the call, just silenced it.

Lewis glanced at Judy, "Yeah, I used to have a friend living here. By the way, you should also get checked at the hospital, the company will cover the expenses."

After such a serious accident, Judy didn't even want to get checked; Lewis was worried she might have internal injuries. Sometimes, one might look fine on the surface, but internal organs could have been damaged.

"Yeah, thanks for your concern, President."

Judy watched the car drive away on the roadside and didn't turn to go upstairs until it was out of sight. Now it was almost four in the afternoon, and Judy hadn't gone to the hospital, feeling she didn't have any major issues, just a bruised knee that was now much better.

Not long after Judy arrived home, John called her, "Judy, are you back from the business trip? Tonight I've invited Susan over for dinner at my place; you both need to sit down and talk things out."
