Chapter 46 Deep Suspicion

Susan was filled with anticipation, a bit nervous, and a bit scared.

However, Lewis didn't come any closer, and the anticipated kiss never came. Instead, there was only a cold, probing question: "Was it really you that night?"

Lewis had begun to question Susan. He tried to get closer to Susan but still felt no desire, unable to find the same connection felt that night.

The sudden interrogation whitened Susan's face.

Susan opened her eyes to see Lewis’s cold demeanor and felt extremely anxious.

“It was me, Lewis, what’s wrong?” Susan tried to stay calm, “My resume fell in the room, and you found it, right?”

Lewis stared at Susan coldly, his grip tightening on her shoulder, "I'll give you one more chance to come clean. Was it or was it not you at the Holiday Hotel that night?"

"Lewis, you're hurting me," Susan said, both alarmed and afraid. She didn't know what she had done to make Lewis suspicious.

But she would never admit the truth, for that would mean losing everything.
