Luke waited to hear what Vera had to say.
Though he saw that she had become a little vulnerable.
He wondered why.
He didn’t want Vera to ever feel vulnerable with him.
This made him smile at her-to reassure her-and then scoot closer to her.
‘You can tell me, Vera.’ He gently told her.
This made Vera smile then.
She knew she could tell him.
And when Luke saw Vera smile, it made his heart race.
And therefore, he couldn’t help slightly squeezing Vera’s hand.
‘I know, Luke.’ She tells him.
This made Luke’s world.
She didn’t seem to be mad with him.
But Luke knew she would have to be mad with him.
And he would take it.
