~ Chapter 24 ~

Alan packed the car carefully in his garage and then tilted his head to look at Amanda properly "I would have taken you to a restaurant, but I guessed a homemade meal will be better" he said, his eyes holding a hint of nervousness.

She smiled and bobbed her head "you guessed right, I enjoyed the lasagna you made last time and I wouldn't want to miss the opportunity to eat your meal again" she confessed, a shy smile plastered on her face.

The look of nervousness that Alan had a while ago, disappeared with her words and was replaced with a look of pride. "In that case then, what are waiting for? Let's go" he blurted out and jumped out of the car, he was about to go open her door when he noticed she was already out of the car.

"Why did you do that?" He questioned with a big scowl on his face.

Amanda looked at him with fake surprise on her face, feigning ignorance "do what?"

His scowl deepened when she asked the question, "never open your door by
