~ Chapter 28 ~
Amanda stared blankly at the ceiling, a sleeping Jonathan cuddled to her side. It's been over 30 minutes since she woke up, but she has no urge to report to work or take Jonathan to school, the stress she underwent the past few days and the fact that a certain someone wouldn't leave her mind, is making her more stressed.
Sighing, she decided to call in sick for both Jonathan and her, and just when she was about to pick up her phone; it pinged with a notification. She immediately picked it up and opened the message, her eyes widened slowly and she just stared at the message without blinking.
She shook her head and blinked twice to make sure she was seeing right, million thoughts ran through her mind as she read the short message that Alan sent to her.

"What's wrong this time?" Alan asked, taking the phone away from Amanda; who looked angry and surprised at the same time. He read through it and his eyes widened as he did before his surprise turned into a smile "I guess you are a full celebrity now, getting involved in scandals and all, and look, I'm with you here so don't worry" he said, smiling at her. "I don't have time for jokes now, Alan. What if this does damages to my company like it did last time"? She asked, looking frustrated. She rubbed her forehead softly, feeling a headache coming up already. Alan looked at Jonathan; that was just staring at them in confusion, ransacking his little brain to figure out what was happening. The days passed by in a blur and before Amanda could process it, she is standing in front of her closet trying to find the right outfit for her date with Alan, Jonathan was once again in Malia's house. She chuckled at the memory and kept searching through her closet when she received a notification from her phone. She hurriedly picked it up and a smile graced her face when she saw the message and who it is from. "Hey! I know you probably standing in front of your closet now, so stop searching and just pick up a sundress. I'll pick you by 4 pm, which is an hour from now." _ Alan. Amanda and Alan cuddled up with each other in silence, watching the sunset with a smile on their faces; Alan reminiscing on the kiss Amanda gave him a while ago when her voice brought him out of memory lane. Amanda caught a glimpse of her so-called sister as soon as she walked in, she sat in a secluded part of the cafe sipping coffee and looking around. Amanda took a deep breath and walked over to her. She saw her when she drove in and noticed when she walked into the cafe but only decided to acknowledge her presence now, "Glad to see you, again" she said with a warm smile that could have fooled anyone, but Amanda knew better.
