Caroline’s POV

I sighed and looked up when Samael held my hand, while aunt Maria and the man sat in front of us. The place was not too crowded, after an awkward silence I decided to speak up.

“What is going on with you aunt Maria?” I asked directly.

“Fine, I'll tell you everything. But in exchange of the truth, I want something from you.” she said trying to look confident but could tell she was nervous.

“What is it?” I asked.

“I want you to put Victor in jail.” she said making me frown.

“What? For what?” I was confused and weirded out by her demand.

“Not everything you see is truth and Victor is the prime example of that.” she said with a sigh, I saw the man beside her holding her hand and aunt Marie giving a small smile at him before turning towards me and continuing.
