Chapter one hundred and seventy nine

Zach’s POV

The searing pain of the wolfsbane coursing through my veins was unbearable.

I could feel its toxic strain spreading like wildfire, devouring my strength, my vitality.

Every fiber of my being screamed out in agony, my wolf howling in despair.

This was too much to bear and I tried to stay calm by fighting it but the werewolf body was not created to handle wolfsbane.

It was called wolfsbane for a reason. It was the weakness of every wolf.

I was too weak to do anything. My senses were destroyed.

I could hear my father screaming warnings at Jackson who laughed and fought against my beta and general, beating them away like they were nothing.

I wished I could help but I was battling with inner demons at the moment.

With everything going on, I refused to succumb. I fought against the darkness, desperately clinging to consciousness, as the person who had caused my pain laughed at my suffering.
