Chapter one hundred and sixty four

Kayla’s POV

“What do you mean?” She asked, waving her drink in my face. “We still have a long way to go right now. And if you’re telling me this because you want me to stop drinking then you’ve got another thing coming.”

I leaned down to her ears as I whispered the heartbreaking truth.

“It’s about father.”

She looked at me with a shocked expression as I gestured for the door.

“Alright ladies,” the woman smiled at her friends. “You all should get home. We’ll continue this by morning.”

She got to me as we headed for the garden.

With a heavy heart, I revealed the truth to her, sharing every detail of what I had witnessed. I could see the fire of determination burning in her eyes as she listened, her love for our pack fueling her resolve.

“I don’t know. But we have to follow him and see what he’s up to.”
