Sulking

I rolled my eyes at his question as I took a helping of the fried rice and sat back. I didn't answer his questions, knowing it would bring rise to more. Though Mitch had never been this pissed with me, I had seen him with his brothers whenever he was furious at them. Replying to him would do more harm than good, which was why I pretended as if I didn't hear him.

“Do you like the food?” Miles questioned, smiling at me. “Is it to your liking?”

He looked shy, blushing as he waited for my reply.

“Hmm. This tastes great,” I replied with a nod of my head, knowing that was something he wanted to hear.

His face broke out in a smile as he leaned back on his chair, looking content. It wasn't difficult to make him smile. Just a word from me and he was already this thrilled.

We ate in silence as I did everything in my power to ignore the men glaring at me. You would think they wouldn't eat tonight because they were pissed, but they did. They ended up eating almost all the meals Miles made for
