I stared at the open door leading into the bathroom, the running bath water increasing my heart rate all the more. If anyone had told me I would be staying in the guest suites with my mate when I woke up this morning, I would have probably laughed in their face before punching them in the throat for making such a mistake. Nothing could have prepared me for this moment. All of my cynical views on the mate bond were slowly being chipped away, most especially now as I stared at my mate's bare tattooed back as he pulled off his shirt.
