Chapter 32

I was standing at the beach. The weather was so sunny, not a cloud in the sky. The water was so beautiful and blue that it made my white dress stand out. It was cold as it touched the bare skin of my feet.

The waves kept hitting and hitting my feet as if taunting me to follow them in the endless ocean. I was strongly tempted. I looked behind me and there was nothing but endless sand.

With one step, my feet got buried in the water. A few bubbles were let out of the sand underneath. It got warm, I think since my skin got used to its caress. With every step, more and more of my feet got buried. The water was so welcoming, so clear that I trusted it.

I felt slight fear as I walked deeper and deeper, the water still maintaining its clarity but coming higher and higher up on my body.

It had reached my knees and I didn’t know what to do. Should I keep going? A strange feeling had me thinking that deep in the middle of this endless sea of water, lies answers to the questions I have.
