Am I really ready to leave everything behind and start my life afresh?

The question was a difficult one but I knew that my answer to that question is a really big yes but I’ve caused so much pain and I don’t think I’d ever stop beating myself up about it.

“You need to forgive yourself, Cassian,” Ansel’s voice put a halt to my thoughts as I lifted my gaze to meet him, “it seems like the only problem you have is yourself, forgive yourself and move on.” He finished with a smile as he stood.

Standing with him, Ansel patted my shoulder as we both made our way to the hotel room to get ready for our flights.

“Thank you.” I said as we got to the door of our various rooms and Ansel nodded before walking into his room and I also did the same.

Packing my bags, most of the things I had packed weren’t the things I came with, I’d intended to surprise Lexi so I went shopping when we finished the meeting yesterday.
