Midnight

"Cherry, I think Beck sent his car for us again tonight," Lucky screeched as she bent down the blinds from the living room window. "He definitely has a thing for you, maybe I should up my game with the Adams brothers,"

"I'm telling you, Lucky, I don't think he likes me," Cherokee rolled her eyes as she grabbed her purse and pulled down her cream-colored dress.

"I'm going to find out why he's sending us the car then, it's the second time." Lucky made her way into the black limo, as she slid to the other side. "Since you say he doesn't like you, we'll see..."

"You don't see the looks he gives me," Cherokee retorted as she followed Lucky into the limo. "Here, look I know Beck, uhh, Mr. Petersen doesn't tell you much but has he by chance said anything pertaining to me or Lucky?" She questioned the driver as she looked into his eyes through the rearview mirror.

"No, ma'am, Mr. Petersen doesn't tell me anything, only where to go," Was his only reply as he rolled up the back window to separate them fully.

"See, and that was a little rude," Cherokee said as she sat back and motioned with her hand toward the driver.

"It doesn't matter, we're here," Lucky huffed as the driver stepped out and opened the door for the women to step onto the red carpet.

"Ahh, lovely ladies," Came the all too familiar voice of Ryan Williams, something they were definitely used to. "Lucky St. Pierre and Cherokee Rains, so glad you're here."

"Oh, Lucky you made it, come sit beside me," Mark stated as he held out a glass of tequila.

"In your dreams brother, the lovely Lucky owes me a dance, therefore she will be my company tonight," Nick widely smiled at his brother and then at Lucky as she sat in between the Adams brothers.

"How did you like the ride?" Beck asked as he walked up the stairs and put a hand around Cherokee's waist

"Oh," Cherokee squeaked at the brush of his hand. "Thank you,"

"That's not what I asked," Becket whispered in her ear as he removed his hand.

"It was nice," Cherokee replied simply as she sat next to Kaleb.

"How are you, Cherry?" Kaleb asked as he took a sip of bourbon.

"Fine, thanks, and you?" Cherokee questioned as she watched Beck walk toward her offering her his hand.

"Come dance with me, Cherry," Beck demanded as he stooped low and kissed her hand. "Cherry, I want to talk to you about some things, you're really my only hope." He said as he dragged her onto the dancefloor and then to a more secluded V.I.P. section.

"What do you mean?" Cherokee furrowed her eyebrows as she sat on the red-leathered seats.

"What I mean is I have a few things I need to discuss with you, wait do you want a drink?" Beck asked as he turned to face the bar, he held up his finger and watched as a young man jogged his way over.

"Mint chocolate martini," Cherokee smiled to the blonde bartender as he faced Beck for his order, but was quickly dismissed.

"I want to offer you well, let's see how do I put this..." Beck paused before taking a deep breath. "I'm offering you a contract."

"A contract?" Cherokee tilted her head as her black hair fell from her back to the front of her face. "For what?"

"A contract marriage, now it'll be a few months before we marry, but if you'd like we can discuss the terms of the contract in my office tomorrow. God knows this isn't where I usually conduct business, not saying you're business, well it's like..." Beck began to stutter as he took in several deep breaths.

"Marriage? You haven't even asked me on a date, why do you want to marry me?" Cherokee asked as she scooted away from Becket watching the young bartender hand her the martini.

"Yes, I realize that," Beck reacted as he took his last sip of rum and coke motioning the cup to the bartender. "I'm offering you a contract, I will pay you, and there will be benefits, like I said we won't have to marry for a few months. I would rather discuss the details in my office, but if I could get a rather formal agreement we can go back to Ryan's V.I.P. section, as I'm sure we're missed."

"I still don't know what you mean," Cherokee took a sip of her drink as she kept her eyes on him. "All you're saying is that you want me to sign a contract to marry you..."

"Well, yes, but like I said we can discuss the details in my office tomorrow, but Ryan is on his way over here, looks like he found our little hideout. I would just like a formal agreement right now," Becket urged as he kept his eyes on Ryan moving around the people on the dancefloor.

"I uh, I don't know, yes, yes I'll do it," Cherokee hastened out her words as Ryan walked up the steps.

"Good, follow my lead," Beck whispered in her ear as he kissed her cheek.

"What are you cheeky bastards up to in another V.I.P. section?" Ryan pouted his lips as he folded his arms in front of him.

"I had to take the lovely Cherokee away to ask her to formally start dating," Beck smiled as he grabbed her hand getting up from the chairs. "Don't worry Ryan, we were coming back,"

"You two?" Ryan cocked his head to one side. "I didn't think you had any interest in Cherry, Beck,"

"Well, you were wrong, I very much am," Becket retorted as he moved passed Ryan still holding onto Cherokee's hand as they made their way down the steps.

"Whoa, what am I seeing?" Lucky stood up, screeching.

"We are together now," Beck spoke up as he raised Cherokee's hand in his.
