CHAPTER 19.2

I pouted and felt sad. I can't stop Alice, and she has her own life. But she kept her promise to stay by my side for a while and work.

For the past few months, she has always been buying food for us and paying bills. She was serious when she said I'll be on bed rest. But then, my morning sickness and headache worsened.

"Is that still normal, Mayu?" she asked after I vomited.

I shrugged and wiped my mouth.

"I don't know either. I'll be back to my doctor later to have a checkup—"

But I stopped after feeling pain in my stomach. It twists to the back and doesn't seem to be eradicated. I nodded as Alice quickly approached me.

"Are you okay?" she asked nervously.

"It hurts, Alice. My stomach is aching," I murmured softly.

Her eyes widened as she panicked.

"Ah? Why? How?! Wait a minute, I'll call a cab and go straight to the hospital!" she shouted before running.

I was weak and clinging to the wall.

"Just stay, baby. Don't leave Mommy alone. It's only been four months, please. Hold on, baby
