Ethan's POV

The drive back home was quiet, I had never seen Junia this broken in a long while and somehow, I wanted to know the thoughts that went through her mind.

I wanted to hear her deepest thoughts and at the same time, I was glad that I ruined her day— now that I thought about it, it was more like I saved it.

We both sat in silence while she stared out the window fiddling with her fingers.

With a hand on the steering wheel, I halted before the traffic light, waiting for the light to turn green when she shifted, " You should stop staring at me through the corner of your eyes?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

I coughed and laughed at the same time, in an attempt to hide my awkwardness, "What makes you think that I would stare at you when I have to make sure that we don't get into a car accident" I pulled right into the compound.

She chuckled slightly, turning to look at me with those amber eyes, gleaming like the galaxies were gathered inside.

Junia would be the end of me
