Chapter 51

Brittany pulled the blankets over her body as coiled up in her bunk bed. She had applied as a farmhand on a large grape processing farm and shared a cabin with three other girls. Though the girls were friendly towards she still kept to herself because she was afraid they might recognize who she is and bully her like those in the city.

She had come to the countryside to work on a farm and also to get far away from the mess. Here the farmers had little time for their phones or to follow celebrity gossip. She was able to move around without a nose mask because no one recognized her or cared anyway. Over here she was Brittany the old Brittany that no one knew and that made her happy.

She drifted off to sleep and dreamt about Cole reaching out for her. She turned around and walked away and he started to run after her Brittany ran fast so he wouldn’t catch up but she fell the falling effect woke her up feeling her slumber. She sat up on the bed and panted for breath.
