The look he carried in his eyes made my heart skip a beat. I managed to reach up and hold up his hands. I placed the phone back on the table.

I didn't care if he tried to punish me later, this was for the well being of the entire clan and he knew it.

He locked his eyes with mine and I couldn't move away. The tension between us was stronger than a magnetic force.

I looked away but he grabbed me hands and made me face him.

"I don't like this feeling," He said.

"What feeling?" I asked confused.

He paused before he bit on his lower lip, he looked up at me.

"The feeling of being powerless, I can't do anything, to protect the Mansion," He said before he let go of my hands.

I didn't know what to say to him. Even my comfort was not going to help him. I stared at him as he occasionally ran his hands in his hair and pulled on his lips.

The phone binged again and I pulled away, I walked over and grabbed the phone.

"It's almost time!" the man texted back.
