Victor looked at me sheepishly, “I was hiding behind the counter from which Miss Madeleine had picked the bottles. I should have fought too instead of sitting there like a coward.”
I just smiled at him and ruffled his hair, “Battles are tricky, and it makes even the bravest werewolf think about their life and family. Nobody is going to judge you.”
He looked at the ground and rubbed his feet against the other, “I mean, I know I have not even awakened my wolf yet but I will be of age soon, then I will fight.”
I smiled at him and squeezed his shoulder. He was quite young but probably had taken up this responsibility to stay amidst the alphas so that he could pick on their mannerisms.
Ben and Charlie returned to me after changing into their clothes and I inspected them. Apart from light bruises and scratches, they looked fine. Though, I could sense that Charlie was limping a little.

Madeleine Panting, I neared him and collapsed on the ground and he bent down on his knees.
