Chapter Thirty-four

I had snapped at her and she had left the office crying. Goddess, now I felt even more annoyed. I just took the file I had been studying and threw it to the floor in frustration.

The box she had brought in was still lying in front of me. 

Luke spoke in my head, “You should have just asked her to show up early tomorrow…”

I rolled my eyes at him and he knew that it was his turn to shut up.

I let the box sit in front of me and resumed work. Half of my mind was inclined to run after her and apologize to her but I needed her to know that I had set certain rules and they applied to everyone.

Just because I had kissed her didn’t mean that she was above the rules.

It was a miracle that Steve hadn’t pointed out that she wasn’t around in the training camp. But, I felt that he was simply too busy ogling at the other girls to notice her absence.

I'm really enjoying this book so far but it is INCREDIBLY ANNOYING that at the end of almost EVERY chapter the author is practically begging for comments and gems. Once or twice I get but holy cow ease up, it's a little much.
