Chapter Thirty-eight

It was just one line but I immediately recalled my discussion with Garron back in my small wooden cabin.

He had asked me to spy for Hayden and obviously, Steve knew about it. Maybe that was why he was keeping away from me.

I had completely forgotten about the deal, all my thoughts had been focused on Greta and Hayden. I sat on my bed for a long time, thinking about what to do next. 

Ben

I had rushed to patrol duty after seeing that my alpha was disturbed about something. He was being uneasy and frustrated but I didn’t know what or why.

As usual, I turned to Charlie to speak my mind.

“Hey beta, do you think that our alpha is upset about something?”

Charlie had been surveying the perimeter and he countered with another question, “Upset about what?”

I shrugged my shoulders, “Anything…I don’t know man he feels off lately.”
