Chapter Thirty-Six

Madeleine

Panting, I neared him and collapsed on the ground and he bent down on his knees.

Extending a bottle, he said to me, “Drink this, and don’t be late tomorrow.”

Saying so, he placed the bottle on the ground and got up. I was just lying there and turned around to take deep breaths.

My eyes searched for him to extend his hand and give it to me, but he had already turned his back at me.

Furious, I dusted my hands and got up in a sitting position. Then, I pulled the bottle towards me and drank all of the water in one go before splattering the rest of it on my face.

No sooner had I done that, I coughed as I accidentally sucked in some of it through my nose.

Placing my hands on the ground, I coughed and that is when I felt a hand around me.

I smiled to think that he had finally come around but to my surprise a familiar voice greeted me.

“Hey, let me help you”

I really like the story but it seems like the chapter gets going then just stops. the next chapter sometimes picks up where the previous left off. those need to combined into one chapter. as a reader it's a little frustrating.. but great job bc you definitely write better than I ever could.
