Chapter Twenty-nine

Madeleine

While he kept looking at me, I put my hands up and wiped my eyes away. I had to get my mind on track. He swallowed nervously and looked around. 

“Let’s get you out of here, first. Any idea where your pack is?”

He asked as he broke the embrace and turned around. I was a little disappointed to move away but his hand slid into mine.

“Uh, no”

I tried to answer while my heart palpitated at the firm grip he had on my hand.

“You will just come to my pack house for now.”

He declared and I felt hope rise in my heart. I didn’t want to set foot in my pack again and if I recall correctly Garron had said that training was going to start the next day after the ball.

That also brought the memory of how Garron had asked me to spy for Hayden. I looked at his hand that was intertwined with mine as he walked me out of the washroom and out in the hall.
